Calaveras 1.0 - Sandy

This skull was a gift for my mother-in-law, in honor of her sister Sandy who passed several years ago (before I came to know the family). Calaveras are traditionally made as decorations for ofrendas in people's homes in the days/weeks leading up to Day of the Dead. Often times they are made to resemble the deceased, or they are decorated with symbols and representations of things the person loved in life. Aunt Sandy /loved/ daisies, so I covered the skull with them.
